SOHL SACRAMENTO 2024

In January of 2024, Drew was invited to be a key note speaker at the SOHL (Sanctity of Human Life) event in Sacramento, CA. The event was put on by Alternative Pregnancy Center. The evening was a huge success as over 1300 people came to the Destiny Sacramento campus to worship with Shane and Shane, celebrate the goodness of God with artist Hulvey, and hear stories of transformation from the panel of guest.

The Panel.

Drew was joined by Atoria, Ariane, and Jess as they all shared stories of how God transformed them through the surrender of their hearts to the Gospel of Jesus. The theme of the night was all about embracing our God given identity and standing up for the sanctity of all human life.

This is especially important in a world that is keen on destroying and mutilating God’s creation. We see this in the push to abort babies when they are inconvenient and we also see this is the trans movement, where children, youth, and adults are told to make choices to mutilate their bodies to somehow better align with who they “actually are.” This is where the story of Jess comes into the SOHL event.

Jess shared her own story, where she has experienced a radical transformation back into the person God created her to be. Her testimony stands in strong opposition to the cultural narrative that we are hearing from the LGBTQ+ side of things. We are constantly inundated with the narrative that we are wronging people and kids unless we allow them to change to become the gender they are feeling. The “gender affirming care” stands in direct opposition to our created design as sons and daughters of the most high God. Jess is on a mission to share her own de-transitioning story and sought the help of Alternatives in order to receive the help she needed. Doctors are happy to help you transition, but unwilling to help you when you want to de-transition.

At the end of the evening Drew shared his own story and wrapped up the night. Check out the video below.

Your support through prayers and gifts enable us to share the message of God’s good gift for sexuality on various platforms and communities. We are so thankful for these opportunities.
